Jacques WEBER

Jacques Weber was introduced to the dramatic arts as a teenager and dropped out of school. After the Conservatoire du XVIIe arrondissement where he met Francis Huster, he entered the Rue Blanche at the age of 16, then the Conservatoire National the following year. Three years later, he was unanimously awarded a prize for excellence at the "Concours de sortie" and refused to be hired at the Comédie Française to join Robert Hossein in Reims.
Alongside a rich theatrical career, Jacques Weber began a sporadic film career, making a small appearance in Raphaël ou le débauché in 1971, then tackling secondary roles in Faustine et le bel été by Nina Companeez (1972), Etat de siège by Costa-Gavras (1973) and R.A.S. by Yves Boisset (id.).
